We've already heard a handful of the covers in the Leonard Cohen-toasting series Old Ideas with New Friends, including run-throughs from Cults, Greg Dulli and Nicole Atkins, but the latest instalment from New York-based, though Vancouver-born, A.C. Newman gives the Canadian icon a little mother-country lovin'.
The clip kicks off with a little anecdote from Newman, explaining how the Songs of Leonard Cohen number helped him get through a particularly bad break-up, but the New Pornographers songsmith and a few friends quickly offer up deliver a more folk-tinged interpretation than we'd expect from the power pop king.
