A street date has yet to be affixed to the debut full-length from Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato's new, electronically minded the Black Queen project, but the band have at least now unveiled their first official single. You can check out the project's oxymoronically titled "The End Where We Start" in a new music video.
As you'll discover via the stream below, the video finds a pair of explorers trudging through a snowy tundra. Though there's an element of sweetness threaded into the visuals, including shots of the pair tenderly brushing their lips together, the video mainly focuses on a struggle to survive. Also unsettling is the sight of severed hands dangling from one journeyman's rope necklace.
As for the song, it finds Puciato taming his often gruff and thick-necked growls to instead coo gently above frigid synth tones and a warming guitar solo.
You can see the video down below, while the Black Queen's Fever Daydream is expected to hit stores later this year.
