As you might expect from a single called "Colours," there are many shades to both Ottawa duo Big Dick's tune and brand new accompanying music video.
On the visual tip, the Lesley Marshall-directed clip mashes dour shots of bingo halls and obscured, out-of-focus neon signs with punchy performance footage of the band. We also get assaulted with sports-minded visuals of top-ropes-hopping wrestlers, a stone-faced pugilist shadow boxing in the snow, and a guy making his way around the streets in a Canadiens jacket.
Musically, Big Dick bring to mind the melancholy post-hardcore of Shotmaker, but with a little more tuneful singing than their Ottawa-scene forefathers.
