1. NOFX The War On Errorism (Fat Wreck Chords)
They're baaack! Still after all these years, NOFX set the bar. Still politically active. It's not Punk in Drublic, but then again, there never will be another. Michal Bluma, Montreal QC

NOFX showed the rest of the pretentious punks that an album can be political and still be fun to listen to. Jordy Lebel, Lacombe AB

Simple chords and complex wit: what a great coupling! Dave Hunter, Richmond BC

Another slap in the face to George Bush. NOFX finally take the reign of political punk leaders. Sean MacLennan, Sackville NB

2. Rancid Indestructible (Hellcat)
Hey, they remembered what fun is. Trell Huether, Toronto ON

Just enough Clash to make me keep buying their records. Jason Howse, Regina SK

3. The Distillers Coral Fang (Sire)
Grinding fast punk rock spewed out by a cute pissed-off girl. What's not to like? Ian Burmaster, Edmonton AB

It's rare punk this good gets play on MTV and MuchMusic (save the punk show). Therefore, it must be really special. Alena Manera, St. Albert AB

Love her or hate her, publicity-magnet Brodie Dalle and her friends are still angry, angry punk rockers. And we love them for it. Nigel Moore, Thunder Bay ON

Tough as fuck. Voice like nails on a chalkboard. Gotta love her. Genevieve Bouchard, Montreal QC

The Distillers are pop-catchy and screaming dirty all at the same time. I wish I could have had this album when I was 15 and all angry. Lauren Britstone, Richmond Hill ON

4. AFI Sing the Sorrow (Dreamworks)
The most amazing and intensely emotional record I've ever heard. Not AFI's best, but definitely the most beautiful. Jeff Lockwood, Vancouver BC

AFI do it better every time. Taylor Charlton, Oakville ON

Yeah, it's on Dreamworks, and yeah, they won one of those bullshit MTV awards, and yeah, they're far enough from their punk and hardcore roots to make Keith Morris spin in his metaphorical grave, but this is an awesomely listenable album. It's complex, it's dark, it's original, it's powerful, it's AFI in the shape we always hoped they would be. Bring on the next one. Bill Cameron, Toronto ON

5. Brand New Deja Entendu (Triple Crown)
Solid, amazing album. Nothing compares to it. I could listen to it every day and never get tired of it. Who am I kidding? I do! Kristi Presse, Toronto ON

From the wave of emo bands that released a CD in 2003, Brand New comes on top with a true masterpiece. Jean-Phillipe Blais, Quebec QC

Such an amazing album. So different, with such amazing sound. Lyrics really amazed me. Amber Brophy, Toronto ON
