The Beatles' Remastered Albums to Arrive on Vinyl

BY Alex HudsonPublished Sep 27, 2012

The Beatles' legendary catalogue was remastered and reissued on CD back in 2009, and then a digital release followed in 2010. Next, touched-up versions of all of the band's albums will be coming to vinyl on November 13 via EMI.

The records will be pressed on 180-gram, audiophile-quality vinyl. The original artwork will be replicated right down to the inner sleeves, inserts and posters. These albums will be available individually, or all together in a lavish box set. This box, limited to 50,000 copies, includes a 252-page hardbound book with a chapter decided to each album.

All told, the campaign gathers up 14 albums. This includes all 12 of the group's original UK albums, plus the U.S. release Magical Mystery Tour and the compilation Past Masters (both volumes of which are presented as a two-LP set). This marks the first time that the Beatles' first four albums have been released on stereo vinyl in North America.

All of these albums will be available in stereo vinyl, but fear not, mono purists — they will be released on mono vinyl in 2013.
