Montreal rock'n'roll troupe Beat Cops recently revealed the video for their 2015 single "Hit It Again," and now the band are back at it with a fresh clip for the song "Get Even" — and Exclaim! has got your first look at the new footage.
The song captures what it's like having to prove yourself in unforgiving situations, while the accompanying video was directed by Hart Less. It features sinisterly psychedelic shots of the band doused in red lighting, which get layered atop each other to give off an unsettling vibe.
"I've always really dug his work," frontman Mikey Heppner said in a statement. "Lately he's been doing a lot of these really dark yet humorous collages, and when we started talking together about doing a video for 'Get Even,' he said he wanted to try and sort of 'video-ify' that concept, hence the overlapping frames, etc."
Beat Cops will be taking their tunes on the road in the opening slot of the Sheepdogs' upcoming national tour. You can find the full list of dates below. Scroll past those and hit play to check out the exclusive video premiere of "Get Even" in the player at the bottom of the post.
