Outdoor electronic music and arts festival Bass Coast has announced it's coming back to Merritt, BC, this summer, with plans to put the boom on the crowd via the sounds of A Tribe Called Red, Addison Groove, Mat the Alien and more.
The sixth annual Bass Coast takes place August 1 through 4, with the fest promising "an eclectic offering of emerging electronic music, art, ideas, and technology." According to the announcement, the Nicola Valley setting finds four "technologically lush outdoor stages" featuring performances from a variety of artists from around the globe enclosed by a forest setting and "an expressive wide-open sky."
In addition to headliners A Tribe Called Red, Canadian-based talent hitting Bass Coast in 2014 includes Humans, Hrdvsion, Bordello, Blondtron, Adam Shaikh, Sabota, Max Ulis, Heartbeat(s), the Librarian, Isis Graham, Graze, Longwalkshortdock, Calamalka, Smalltown DJs, Jpod the Beat Chef, Wax Romeo, Hoola Hoop, TheGaff, Vinyl Ritchie and Taal Mala.
International artists set to appear include Thugfucker, G Jones, dBridge, Commodo, Paleman, Sweater Beats, Natasha Kmeto, Jubilee, and Janover & reSunator, among others.

In addition to the music, the Bass Coast festival will feature a number of multimedia art installations and run various workshops throughout the weekend.
