The last we heard from Bat for Lashes songwriter Natasha Khan, she was celebrating the arrival of her new clothing line with a new song. Now she's back with another new non-album track.
"Skin Song" opens with some hushed, creepy synths that recall the iconic Twin Peaks soundtrack. As Khan starts to sing, the song adds more layers of sound, including some skittering drum beats, though everything is characterized by restraint and subtlety.
Listen to "Skin Song" below. The track will appear on Body of Songs, an upcoming LP that explores the human anatomy. It's slated to arrive in 2015, and will also feature appearances from Goldie and Ghostpoet.
