Avail's Tim Barry Performs For Second Graders, Considers Making It A Seven-Inch

BY Ben ConoleyPublished Jul 4, 2008

Tim Barry, best known for fronting Richmond, Viginia's Avail, has been busy with a solo project the last few years. His new music, with a largely acoustic/folk slant, brought him into Mary Munford Elementary, where he and band-mate Josh Small played a number of songs for Ms. Kieslers' second grade class. The three songs included two Woody Guthrie covers ("Hey Lolly," "This Land is Your Land") as well as Barry's own "Shoulda Oughta."

Word on the street is that Barry just may release the three songs as a seven-inch some time in the future.
