​Artists Pay Tribute to the Muffs' Kim Shattuck

Kim Shattuck — best known as the frontwoman for the Muffs — passed away yesterday (October 2) at the age of 56.
 
A number of peers and admirers from the music world have since expressed their sadness at the loss.
 
See tributes to Shattuck below from the likes of Pixies, Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong, Fucked Up's Damian Abraham and more.
 
As previously reported, Shattuck passed away following a battle with ALS.

So sad to hear the news about Kim. She was always so cool and tough. All my interactions with her were great. She was one of my favorite song writers. When we recorded dookie we listened to the first Muffs record constantly. We will hear that rock n roll scream from heaven. @kimshattuck #kimshattuck ..
