Andrew Whiteman has long been influential in the Canadian music scene as part of Broken Social Scene and Apostle of Hustle. His latest musical incarnation, AroarA, finds Whiteman and wife Ariel Engle taking on complex, genre-defying tunes. The duo released their debut album In the Pines last month.
Engle and Whiteman stopped by our office to perform In the Pines track "12." Watch below as Whiteman and Engle trade vocals and occasionally harmonize over one acoustic and one electric guitar, and keep an ear out at 2:30 for a pretty cool tempo change.
