Munich-based trio Aloa Input released their sophomore album, Mars etc., this year in the dim light of early spring, and they are apparently still waiting for the sun in their latest video.
Featuring horrible yet cute animation by Karim Dabbeche that is reminiscent of Chad VanGaalen, "Vampire Song" has a bubbly electro-pop instrumental that was based on a Pocket Piano melody but sounds like early MGMT (in a good way). The video's bright colours and lightly psychedelic treatment render its demons in a fond wake of childlike wonder, a perfect match to the song's shimmering sound and subtly dramatic lyrics.
