Ali Koehler's Upset Sign to Don Giovanni for Debut Album

BY Gregory AdamsPublished May 14, 2013

Earlier this year, we learned that former Vivian Girls/Best Coast drummer Ali Koehler had teamed up with Patty Schemel in a new project called Upset, and the outfit will apparently deliver their debut LP sometime this fall through Don Giovanni Records.

News of the group's upcoming first full-length was announced on the Don Giovanni website today (May 14), but details on the disc are pretty scarce beyond that. What has been revealed, though, is that the band will soon be recording the set with Kyle Gilbride (Swearin', Waxahatchee).

While it had initially been reported that Koehler and former Hole drummer Schemel were joined in Upset by lead guitarist Jennifer Prince and bassist Chris Roberts, the note from Don Giovanni doesn't make mention of Roberts, and the press photo is of the other three musicians. You can see it up above.

New music has yet to be leaked by the band, but you can stream some solo material of Koehler's down below.
