Earlier this year, Virginia native Jack Tatum put out a couple of stunning releases under the nom de plume Wild Nothing (pictured). His first outing, Gemini, was a dazzling dream pop adventure that syncopated hazy shoegaze production with fluttery Smiths-style guitars and spritely synth pop melodies. The Golden Haze EP was released shortly thereafter and further extended the songwriter's winning streak. It's too early to say how prolific his 2011 will be, but Wild Nothing will at least be taking his current crop of tunes on the road early next year.
Featuring Canadian shows in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal, the North American tour makes a few stops north of the border. It also pairs Wild Nothing with world-music-minded post-punks Abe Vigoda, who are playing alongside Wild Nothing.
