Nine out of ten dentists agree: having a Twelve Carat Toothache means you probably need to brush more. Or, if you're Post Malone, you probably need to also be working that toilet brush with some bowl cleaner.

The rapper appeared on the Howard Stern Show yesterday (June 13) and there was a bunch of hullabaloo about him having a secret kid and fiancée (congrats!) — so much so that the discourse seems to have completely glossed over the fact that, in the same three-minute clip of the interview, he admitted to writing 60 percent of his lyrics on the toilet.

Stern asked Posty a bit about his writing process, which the musician shared begins sometime after he wakes up at around 2 p.m. and plays video games.

"When you're playing Apex Legends, shit comes to you, right? Like all of a sudden, you'll start hearing music in your head?" the host asked, to which the rapper replied: "No, shit literally comes to me because I write all of my songs on the can."

"I'd say about 30 percent of all my albums have been written on the shitter," he continued. "And I'd say 60 percent of [my] lyrics have been written on the shitter." The rapper explained that he has a digital journal that he uses while on the potty, which he calls his "special zone." In fact, he'll sometimes spend hours there.

Unrelated, but he also once spent $800,000 USD on a Magic: The Gathering card?

Watch the interview clip below, and stay tuned for the pending Lysol collab.

Post Malone just announced his Twelve Carat North American Tour, which will bring him to the toilets of Toronto and Vancouver later this year.
