This EP is like a lullaby characterised by the harmonisation of soft male and female voices, which quietly pass through a delicate lake of orchestration. Utilising an array of instruments met by a rather large group of players, Les Petits charismatically create songs that know where and when to rise and fall in pressure. And, hailing from Calgary, AB, it seems as though the bands atmosphere might be the reason why each track has a certain level of calmness and references to various animals. Regardless, their music is very delightful, as little strums and dissonant drumming create lovely moments of sanctity. Overall, the EP seems like a series of intimate secret songs that could wake up the sleeping forest, with all of its birds, plants and deer, one note at a time.
