Still going strong with the promo run behind last year's VII: Sturm und Drang, Lamb of God are now lighting up screens with a new video for the record's "Embers."
Directed by Zev Deans, the video focuses on a couple whose home life literally goes up in flames. Physically instigated by a cigarette butt, but triggered by something much deeper, they stand united within the shell of their house.
A public letter from guitarist Mark Morton explains that the track had originally taken shape many years ago as "Walk with Me in Hell," a song for his then future wife. He'd finish the piece years later, with it ultimately reflecting on the tragic loss of their firstborn infant daughter, Madalyn Grace Morton. The number weighs in on grief, despair and the healing process after the loss of a child.
