With three studio albums to their name, and over ten years of pumping out raucous electro-clash, Justice have served up an album of their re-envisioned bangers inspired by their live productions — Woman Worldwide is essentially a continuous "live" album that has the polish and shine of a studio release.
While tracks from Audio, Video, Disco and Woman are worked in prominently throughout, Woman Worldwide heavily features mix-ins from 2007's Cross. The strident ear-splitting electric cracks that define the duo's first album are carried across this latest release, lending some grit and gravity to some of the lighter fare — the unbelievable distortion of "Waters of Nazareth" uses its extended ending as legs for "We Are Your Friends," the Justice edit of Simian's classic "Never Be Alone," while "Phantom Pt. II" slips in and carries the remix to its close. Elsewhere, as "Heavy Metal" and "DVNO" mingle together, "Stress" creeps in with its Mussorgsky sample.
