The Hundred in the Hands Announce Sophomore Album on Warp

Having signed to Warp Records and releasing a self-titled LP back in 2010, Brooklyn electro duo the Hundred in the Hands are getting ready for another go-around. They've just announced their second album, Red Night, which will arrive on June 12 through Warp.

According to a press release, the ten-song collection "is a self-produced meditation on separation and reunion, love nearly lost and the long night back to it; a chronicle of late-hour pining awash in digital glow and urban buzzing."

We could be in for some weird and unsettling sounds, since the sonic landscape is said to resemble a "nocturnal city where time stretches, tempos drop, and guitars plunge rumbling and throbbing out against denser and denser vocals as the story unfolds."

Below, watch a three-minute trailer for the album. It features band members Eleanore Everdell and Jason Friedman talking about the album, but their voices end up overlapping and becomes a cryptic wash of sound that eventually turns into the song "Faded." You can hear that eerie opening track in full below the trailer.
