Great Lake Swimmers

"I Must Have Someone Else's Blues"

Canadian folk-pop outfit Great Lake Swimmers are ready to release A Forest of Arms next month, but before the LP officially arrives, they've offered up another taste of the new material with "I Must Have Someone Else's Blues."

Nature played a major role in the new recordings, with bandleader Tony Dekker drawing inspiration from issues like the BP oil spill and the Northern Gateway Pipeline controversy — and even going so far as to record a chunk of the record inside Ontario's Tyendinaga Cavern and Caves.

That organic, natural sound comes through on the latest single "I Must Have Someone Else's Blues," which gives off a rootsy, blues-tinged vibe. You can give it a listen in the player below.

A Forest of Arms is out April 21 via Nettwerk. As previously reported, the band have a series of Canadian tour dates coming up, and you can revisit those below.
