Whether recontextualizing old classics like "Stuck in the Middle with You" or introducing us to groups like the 5.6.7.8's, Quentin Tarantino's soundtracks typically generate a fair amount of attention. His latest film, The Hateful Eight, is due out on Christmas Day, and we now have the details of the its soundtrack.

Decca Records will release the soundtrack a week prior the film's release, on December 18. As previously announced, legendary Italian composer Ennio Morricone wrote the score, marking his first full western score in decades.

The soundtrack contains a whopping 28 tracks. The bulk of them are by Morricone, which explains why the titles are in Italian. Beyond that, there are a handful of tracks from actors in the film like Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh and more; these are presumably dialogue snippets. There are also a small selection of previously released songs by other artists, including the White Stripes, Roy Orbison and David Hess (whose "Now You're All Alone" is famously from Wes Craven's Last House on the Left).
