Bill Callahan Announces Live Album

BY Josiah HughesPublished Feb 24, 2010

With 20 years of indie rock under his belt, Austin, TX-based singer-songwriter Bill Callahan is a true independent veteran who has paid his dues. That means that if he wants to release a live album, no one has a right to argue.

Next month, Callahan will do just that with Rough Travel for a Rare Thing. The 11-track live release includes selections from his entire body of work, including some classic Smog songs like "Cold Blooded Old Times," "Bathysphere" and "Held."

Rough Travel for a Rare Thing will be released by Drag City on March 23. It will be available on vinyl and as a digital download. To pre-order the LP, or to hear samples of each track, point your clicker this way.
