Killer Mike and El-P spent a lot of 2015 milking Run the Jewels' kitty remix record Meow the Jewels, capitalizing on its full potential with a recent doc titled Paw-cumentary and line of feline merch. They haven't forgotten about a proper, more human-sounding follow-up to 2014's Run the Jewels 2, though. The duo previously hinted at possible collaborations with Zack de la Rocha and the Third Man himself, Jack White, for an upcoming third album from Run the Jewels.
Now, El-P has shared a snippet of new material, uploading a brief audio clip to Instagram yesterday (December 27). Accompanied by a phone camera shot panning the studio and the caption: "RTJ3 is just getting started," the short preview should be enough to up the anticipation for a new album heading in to the new year.
El-P confirmed last December that RTJ3 was in the works.
