Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: Fefe Dobson, Jazz Cartier, Avril Lavigne

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Feb 25, 2022

The events of the world are certainly... still happening, aren't they? And at an increasingly menacing rate? Mercifully, there's also new music. We've rounded up the best new Canadian offerings of the week to be your spoonful of sugar — er, maple syrup.

You thought pop-punk was back last week when Simple Plan and Sum 41's Deryck Whibley buried the hatchet? Well now it's back back: with new album Love Sux, Avril Lavigne reminds us that she's still the voice of a generation and Fefe Dobson makes her triumphant return — and you can "Trust" that Jazz Cartier is storming back, too.

Another big new album drop comes from Basia Bulat, recent taker of the Exclaim! Questionnaire, as well as DijahSB's new, aptly-titled 2022 the EP. There's also Ouri's meditative BT002: Self Hypnosis Tape and NOBRO's Live Your Truth Shred Some Gnar.

Take a cue from the Montreal punk quartet and get living (and shredding) with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
