Today is the 22nd day of the second month of the year 2022 — 22/2/2022, numerically — making it the perfect day for DijahSB to drop a new EP. The Toronto artist has returned with 2022 the EP, which you can hear in its entirety below.
Named similarly to their acclaimed 2020 the Album — which we hope you didn't miss that year — DijahSB's 2022 the EP captures one of the artist's major milestones from a whirlwind 2021 in its pixelated, purple-hued album art: living larger than life on a billboard in Toronto's Yonge-Dundas Square.
Their latest five-track set finds them teaming up with fellow Torontonians Keys N Krates, and recurring collaborator Terrell Morris, while production on four of the EP's five tracks comes courtesy of Cheap Limousine.
2022 the EP follows DijahSB's 2021 album Head Above the Waters, which was short listed for the 2021 Polaris Music Prize. Last year also saw them release EP Tasty Raps, Vol. 1, which featured songs with Mick Jenkins, Harrison and Ray HMND.
