Ouri has unveiled details of a new project. The Montreal-based multi-instrumentalist and producer will share BT002: Self Hypnosis Tape on February 25.

Following both Ouri's solo debut Frame of a Fauna, and her collaborative debut as Hildegard with Helena DelandSelf Hypnosis Tape finds the artist working with pianist Zach Frampton, creating a seven-song set said to be "meditative and ambient" in nature.

"figure profane," which features both Ouri and Frampton, is the first of the songs to arrive, and you can hear it below.

"I shaped this project after capturing several recordings I made with Zach over the course of last summer," Ouri shares of Self Hypnosis Tape. "I wanted to offer myself a moment to study the melodic and harmonic features of my music and cut the rest out, allow repetition to happen but always keep the melody as the ultimate leader."

Ouri's aforementioned debut was among Exclaim!'s Canadian Albums You Might Have Missed in 2021. Read Exclaim!'s review of Frame of a Fauna, ahead of reading our review of Hildegard.
