Kari Faux has detailed a new album. The Arkansas native will share REAL B*TCHES DON'T DIE! on May 26 via drink sum wtr.
Following 2020 mixtape Lowkey Superstar (which was treated to a deluxe edition in 2021), REAL B*TCHES DON'T DIE! arrives following Faux's return to the South after time in Los Angeles, where she spent a year in self-induced isolation and avoided listening newly released music as part of her creative process.
"After years of subjecting myself to 'industry standards' and becoming completely depressed by them, I decided to go home, which was completely grounding. This album is my best work yet and it's an homage to the loved ones I've lost, Southern rap and my ability to alchemize pain that would break some people."
Joining her on journey are Devin the Dude, the late Gangsta Boo, Big K.R.I.T., Jazz Cartier, TheMIND and Phoelix, the last of whom primarily produced the 13-track set said to be "infused with gospel, hip-hop, and R&B elements."
"MAKE A WISH" is the latest of the album's tracks to arrive, and you can hear it below alongside a visualizer.
