In addition to fronting the Gaslight Anthem, blue-collar rocker Brian Fallon has branched out by scoring a film and launching his side-project the Horrible Crowes. Now, with the Gaslight Anthem on hiatus, Fallon is preparing to release his debut solo album.
The record will be called Painkillers, and although it's not recorded yet, Fallon plans to make it with producer Butch Walker (Taylor Swift, Panic! at the Disco, Weezer) later this year, with the release to follow in early 2016 via Island/Virgin EMI. Sessions will take place in Nashville.
Before Painkillers arrives, Fallon will head out on a U.S. tour in January. His backing band will feature Alex Rosamilia (of the Gaslight Anthem), Ian Perkins (of the Horrible Crowes) and Catherine Popper (of Molly & the Zombies). A more extensive tour will follow once the album is out.
"I'm overjoyed to be making this solo record," Brian said in a statement. "And I can't wait to go out on the road with the new songs I have as well as to get to play the Elsie album [by the Horrible Crowes] live again!"

01/08 Woodstock, NY - Bearsville Theater
01/09 Mashantucket, CT - The Fox Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino
