Gaslight Anthem's Brian Fallon to Score 'Oriole Park' Film

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Aug 13, 2014

While blue collar rockers the Gaslight Anthem released their new Get Hurt LP not but yesterday (August 12), guitarist/vocalist Brian Fallon will apparently be putting at least some of his efforts elsewhere, having signed on to score the upcoming film Oriole Park.

Earlier today (August 13), the movie's official Facebook page confirmed that Fallon is attached to the project. Though few details have been delivered beyond that, Punknews points out that the film's producer/director, Kevin Slack, had previously worked with Gaslight Anthem on some music videos.

A synopsis for the film explains that it's a period piece set in 1978, in light of the serial killing spree of John Wayne Gacy. The main plot, however, puts the focus on "a young Greek American girl" from Chicago, struggling following the death of her mother and due to her father's "alcoholic spiral." The film is inspired by true events and stars Joey King (Wish I Was Here), Joel Murray (Mad Men), Tom Arnold, Christian Stolte (Chicago Fire) and Thomas Beaudoin (Other Plans).
