Devon Welsh is best known for fronting Montreal duo Majical Cloudz, but since their dissolution in early 2016, he's been releasing music with Belave and as a solo artist. Today, a new solo track titled "I'll Be Your Ladder" has arrived.
The song is driven by synths, saxophone and Welsh's unmistakable croon.
"To me it's about love observing all the never-ending changes of life!" he said in a Facebook post. "It's one of a bunch of things I've been working on over the past couple of years."
It marks Welsh's first material since paying tribute to the late Alan Vega with an original song and releasing one-off single "Go Go" a couple years back. Prior to that, Welsh also released a collection of songs titled Down the Mountain.
