Darkside — the experimental electronic project of Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington — is back in action. The duo have shared new song "Liberty Bell" ahead of new album Spiral arriving in spring 2021 through Matador.
"In 2018 we met for the first time in five years to make new music. In December 2019, we finished our new album, Spiral. It was mixed by Rashad Becker, mastered by Heba Kadry," the duo wrote in sharing the news on Twitter.
As Darkside, Jarr and Harrington released their debut EP in 2011, ahead of making their full-length debut with Psychic in 2013. Towards the end of 2014, the two shared that the project would be "coming to an end, for now."
In November, Darkside shared an unearthed recording of a live show in 2014, which they shared on Bandcamp as a PWYC release.
