WZRD Gear Up for New EP, Tour

Kid Cudi's WZRD project release their self-titled debut LP in two weeks, but the rapper's crossover rock unit already have their sights set on a follow-up EP. Cudi revealed last night (February 13) at a listening party in Hollywood for WZRD that he and Dot Da Genius have already started on a five-song affair to be released in the spring.

"We are doing an EP already and it's going to be coming out in a couple months," Rap-Up quotes Cudi as saying. "We just can't stop making records. I made a new record the other day that's really, really, really phenomenal. So we're gonna put out this five-track EP just to fuckin' put out some jams."

Dot Da Genius summarized his excitement over the impending, as-yet-untitled mini-platter by adding, "The EP is gonna be great. Expect greatness."

If news of the extra spurt of songs arriving shortly weren't enough, the troupe also announced they'll be touring in April, with dates starting up in Europe before Kid Cudi and Dot Da Genius make their way back to this side of the pond. Expect more details soon.

As previously reported, WZRD arrives February 28 through Wicked Awesome/Universal.
