Worst Case Ontario Worst Case Ontario

Featuring three of the scrappiest, most tongue-in-cheek songs punk rock has seen in years, Worst Case Ontario breathe fresh life into the world of post-punk. Taking elements of genre heroes such as Dillinger Four and Kid Dynamite but updating their spiky, angular approach with the more direct appeal of modern outfits, including Rise Againsts inherent melodic capabilities and New Mexican Disaster Squads heartfelt drive, then bastardising it all with a sense of humour evident in titles such as "Up With Mini-Skirts, Down With Patriarchy!, this quartet know how to deliver solid double-time punk rock with flair and beauty. As a debut EP, this self-titled effort shows great promise, even if it does sound like it was recorded through a pair of iPod headphones.
