Wolf Parade

"Knockin' on Heaven's Door" (live at the Commodore Ballroom)

BY Josiah HughesPublished May 31, 2011

Wolf Parade's performance at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom on May 30 was undeniably special. Rumoured to be their last ever show, the night was filled with surprises. Among them? An epic cover of Bob Dylan's "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" with a whole bunch of crowd participation.

Our review of the concert described the cover as "atrocious, but nevertheless an endearingly hokey way to mark the end of an era," and that's sort of the vibe you might get when watching the 7-minute clip below. Sure, the sound is pretty terrible and it's hard to tell what's going on with so many people on the stage, but it's still damn charming.

Check out Wolf Parade's version of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" below. Thanks to AUX for the heads up.
