Earlier this week, we learned that not only was Pete Townshend going to link up with his old Who buddy Roger Daltrey to tour their classic Quadrophenia album, but that the guitarist was also in the middle of remastering the album for an upcoming re-release. At the time, we didn't know exactly when the disc would drop. It turns out a mammoth box set with a bunch of goodies comes out this November.
While a full detailing has yet to be released, the deluxe package will be unleashed in the UK November 14. That's a picture of the product above. No word on a North American street date at this point, unfortunately.
The newly remastered Quadrophenia will contain multiple discs of previously unheard demos, an exclusive eight-track 5.1 Sound DVD, a deluxe hard-back book, personal notes, photographs, and other memorabilia to be revealed at a later date. On top of the box set, there are also plans to release the remaster the album as a double vinyl set, a two-disc digipak and digitally.
