It's a good time to be a Wavves fan. Fuzz-loving songwriter Nathan Williams just released a new song last Wednesday (February 16), the slacker anthem "TV Luv Song." Now, he has unveiled another track for free via his blog.
Entitled "Horse Shoes," this song taps into the oddball garage punk sound that Wavves explored on last year's King of the Beach. At 4:20, it's one of the longest songs Williams has ever released, as it cycles between several sections, beginning as restrained psych pop before cranking up the guitars and eventually exploding into a manic punk rock hoedown. Oh, and it features drumming hero Zach Hill.
Interestingly, the file is labelled as track six on an album called Babes. Hmmm…
