Much like the rest of us, Angel Olsen is passing her time in isolation finding new ways to entertain herself — and in this case, others as well.
Today, as a birthday present to her artist friend Clare, Olsen recorded a video of her covering Roxy Music's 1982 classic "More Than This" from their final album Avalon. The whole thing is filmed in sepia, matching the gloomy context the song takes on from Olsen's isolation.
Olsen's latest record was 2019's All Mirrors, which Exclaim! named one of 2019's 20 Best Pop and Rock Albums. Back in January, the artist announced plans to follow the record up with Part 2 later this year.
Last summer, Roxy Music's Bryan Ferry announced plans to take the band's Avalon LP on tour, performing the record in full. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year.
