Wale's Attention Deficit Gets Delayed over Sample-Clearance Issues

Surprise, surprise: another highly anticipated hip-hop album has had its release date pushed back. This time, it's rapper Wale, whose Attention Deficit has been moved from its September 22 release date.

Wale has been updating the situation on his Twitter, explaining that the album was being postponed due to sample clearance issues and that it would likely now be out in October via Allido/Interscope. We'll see, man. Sometimes the best math equation for hip-hop release dates is to add a year to what you've been told.

When it does come out, Attention Deficit will feature production from Cool and Dre, TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek and Mark Ronson, along with guest spots from K'Naan, Bun B and Lady Gaga (whose contribution is already out as hit single "Chillin'").

In the meantime, you can still enjoy Wale's fantastic mixtapes, including his latest, Back to the Feature, and the Seinfeld-referencing Mixtape About Nothing.
