Vince Staples Cancels Retirement GoFundMe, Donates Funds

BY Calum SlingerlandPublished Mar 15, 2018

Last week, Vince Staples gave listeners a chance to send him off to retirement early, starting a GoFundMe campaign to raise $2 million to get him to "shut the fuck up forever." While the campaign was more a promotional tool for a new single, the rapper is still making some good in the aftermath of his fundraising.

Staples took to Twitter to announce, "seeing as we clearly won't reach our goal of 2 million dollars, I am cancelling the gofundme and refunding all the little people with big voices. I expect to hear no further slander."

Staples continued, adding that he'll match the full amount of donations made to the campaign and donate the money to the Michelle Obama Library in Long Beach, CA.
