This is Solid State, the compilation released by Solid State Records, has already reached its fifth edition. This time around, they’ve still managed to combine tracks from both newer bands and old favourites. As usual, Solid State presents its interesting mix of metal, hardcore and screamo. Particularly shining moments come from Showbread’s "A Llama Eats a Giraffe (And Vice Versa),” Dead Poetic’s "Taste the Red Hands,” and the Chariot’s "It Is Usually The Boys Who Cry Wolf That Grow Up To Be The Men Who Cry Sanctuary,” while He is Legend and Beloved are always a good listen. This comp is a great way to get to know some newbies on the hardcore scene and get familiar with Solid State’s consistently solid roster.
