Both an homage to the acoustic guitar and the people who master it, the Borealis Six Stings series brings together some of Canada's finest pickers and benders on one compilation. Gone are the days when instrumental acoustic guitar music meant folk; these musicians are informed by a world of folk music as well as jazz, Spanish, classical, ragtime, swing and nu-acoustic to name a few. There's nothing more pleasing than hearing an instrument in the hands of a maestro and this album is full of just that.
