It's a little surprising this was released, given Metallica's lawsuit-happy, credibility-smashing behaviour as of late. But it is a good collection, nonetheless. The reason for this is because of Metallica's contribution to the crossover phenomenon of the '80s, which made it ok for punkers to listen to metal and vice versa. This record features 14 tunes in all, spanning most of Metallica's career, as covered by a gang of mostly old time punk rockers. Some of the highlights include Sloppy Seconds doing "Hit The Lights," Total Chaos doing "One," DOA's rendition of "Motorbreath" and Dr. Know's "Master of Puppets."
