Ottawa’s tireless ambassadors of snotty punk, the Riptides have graced us with another edition of their local and beyond compilation. All the work and touring seems to have paid off for them on this. In addition to a host of Ottawa-area bands, they’ve also got songs on here from far and wide. The Queers, the Dwarves, Dayglo Abortions, Vapids and many more. The better songs seem to be packed at the front of this 31-track CD. Although it’s mostly a lot of Ramones-style dumb punk, there are a few heavier tracks and ska numbers that are out of place.
