Calgary expat Jean-Sebastien Audet has spent his time in Montreal perfecting the work of his Un Blonde moniker. Following last year's Habit Anything release, our boy is back with a new four-song cassette and lathe via Craft Singles. Before it's released later this week, we've arranged a stream of its first two tracks.
"Part of Us Both" is one of Audet's most out-there offerings yet, a deconstructed R&B jam built on janky percussion, hushed vocals and a malfunctioning synth. "As Just" utilizes more standard instrumentation with live drums, bass and guitars, though it never gets truly traditional.
Listen to two of the release's four tracks below. The release will be available on cassette and limited picture-disc lathe on Friday, January 30, and can be preordered here.
Un Blonde will perform with Viet Cong and CROSSS at Montreal's Bar Le Ritz that same night.
