Tim Moxam

"Meant to Be" (video)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Dec 4, 2015

Great Bloomers' Tim Moxam branched out from the band, delivering a solo cut called "Blue Son" last year, and now Exclaim! has got your exclusive first look at the singer-songwriter's new video for "Meant to Be."

The song is the first from an upcoming album titled Soft Summer, which hears Moxam pairing up with musicians like Great Bloomers' Adrian Cook and Tony McKnight, Joshua Van Tassel of Great Lake Swimmers, and Christopher Weatherstone of the Lemon Bucket Orkestra. Guest vocals also appear courtesy of Ivy Mairi of the Weather Station and Raffa Weyman of RALPH.

"Meant to Be" toes the line between melancholy and hope, pairing gentle acoustic strumming with Moxam's twangy alt-country vocal delivery. The clip sees him working some home renovation magic and rehearsing with his fellow musical collaborators before moving onto a stage in front of a live audience.

The new single arrives today (December 4) via Roaring Girl Records/Fontana North. Watch the video for "Meant to Be" in the player below.
