Montclair, NJ producer Thelonious Martin has offered up plenty of bumpin' mixtapes over the last five years, but he has upped his game considerably for his latest freelease, the MC-heavy, soul-sampling Wünderkid.
Swirling throughout the set are a series of buttery, vintage samples, whether it be the low-key Motown bump of "Marvin," or the chain-clanking swing of "September." Guest MCs include Mac Miller, who shows up on the harpsichord-plinking "Malcolm Interlude," and Ab-Soul, who appears on the smoke-cloud soul of "BadGuyGoodGuy" alongside Retch. Also appearing on Wünderkid are Curren$y, Domo Genesis, Nylo, K-Sra, Joey Purp and more.
