Seattle's Telekinesis last left us with the 2011 set 12 Desperate Straight Lines, but Michael Benjamin Lerner's indie pop project is readying its return and has just announced a new LP titled Dormarion. It arrives April 2 via Merge.
A press release for the set explains that Lerner had intended to record the album, Telekinesis' third overall, on his own, but ended up tracking the set with Spoon drummer/engineer Jim Eno at his Public Hi-Fi studio in Austin, TX. A tracklisting has yet to pop up for the platter, but you can stream the spectral synth-pop procession "Ghosts and Creatures" down below.
Pre-orders for the album are being taken over here, and if you act fast, you can nab yourself a limited-edition flexi-disc featuring a demo version of "Ghosts and Creatures." LP pre-orders will also include a Merge Records slipmat for your turntable.
In support of the new record, Telekinesis will be hitting the road in the spring, with the North American trip hitting Toronto and Montreal. You can see the show schedule down below.
