With Halloween comes many spook-tacular parties, but ditch the endless replays of "Monster Mash" for one of this week's Can't Miss Concerts, from October 27 to November 2. If you're looking for unconventional Halloween fun, check out Death to T.O or Halloween Emocore, but if Halloween isn't your thing, acts like Tegan and Sara, Alessia Cara, Royal Canoe and Duchess Says will keep your head bobbing. Alessia Cara
Since releasing Know-It-All, Alessia Cara, the 20-year-old Canadian R&B and pop sensation, has skyrocketed to stardom, performing at the Junos (where she also won Breakthrough Artist of the Year) and on The Tonight Show. Celebrate her return home when she's in Toronto on November 2 after a stop in Montreal on November 1.

Death to T.O.
The sixth annual Halloween extravaganza Death to T.O. showcases indie acts performing live cover sets of selected artists — often, dressed like them too. This year features a special 45-minute tribute to David Bowie and Prince by the likes of Alia O'Brien of Blood Ceremony, Elliott Vincent Jones and Andre Edwards. If you're in Ottawa, head to House of Targ for the costume contest and candy and stay for throwback tunes, with Slip performing My Chemical Romance's The Black Parade and Missioner performing Green Day's American Idiot, when Halloween Emocore goes down on October 28.

Five years after his breakout Space Is Only Noise, Chilean powerhouse electronic producer Nicolas Jaar made a return with the release of Sirens this fall. He's been on tour since mid-October and is making his first stop in Canada with a Vancouver date this week.
