Punk rock vets Against Me! are still hard at work promoting last year's phenomenal Shape Shift with Me. The band are kicking off an extensive tour across North America, and they're bringing along Los Angeles rockers Bleached and Hamilton punks the Dirty Nil for the ride. Western Canadians get four chances to see this lineup this week, with stops in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta.

Festival de Musique Émergente
After 15 successful years, Quebec's Festival de Musique Émergente is still going strong on their mission to bring top-notch underground musicians from a wide spectrum of genres to beautiful, remote Rouyn-Noranda, QC. This year will see sets by bands like Duchess Says, A Tribe Called Red, Andy Shauf, Marduk and more across the festival's four days.

Sister trio HAIM have been creating a substantial amount of buzz for themselves recently, performing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, making a hilarious appearance on Funny or Die and, of course, releasing the critically acclaimed Something to Tell You. Fans out West can see the band perform this week, when they make a stop at Vancouver's Malkin Bowl before continuing on their trek.

Doom metal powerhouses Pallbearer dropped one of our most anticipated albums of 2017 at the beginning of the year, with their devastatingly heavy record Heartless. The gloomy metal masters have been on a lengthy North American tour to support the record, which will see the band making their way to Ottawa, Quebec City and Montreal this week, with Kayo Dot opening each night.
