Spinecracker

Spinecracker is a group formed out of the ashes of former Toronto bands Skaface and King Apparatus. They've been playing shows in the Toronto area for a couple years and this album rings like a recording of their live show. The production isn't great and there are the questionable additions of some spoken word tracks, but beyond all that there's Spinecracker's ska-driven rock music and the energy that the band brings to their music is palpable. The music itself is surf and garage-style rock, with elements of ska throughout, coming off as energy filled party music. Fans of the band won't be disappointed and newcomers are in for a treat if they can look past the poor production.
